Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What does CBT therapy look like?

Treatment is usually between 6 and 20 sessions, depending on whether we are working with one or more areas. This is something that is agreed upon the beginning of the treatment and it is regularly reviewed throughout the course of therapy. Sessions last approximately 50 minutes and are held weekly of bi-weekly.

CBT is a structured and goal-oriented approach, which means that the therapy course is structured around what the client wants to achieve & accomplish.

Is CBT for me?

If you're struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress, overthinking, or feeling stuck in unhelpful habits, CBT could be a great fit for you.

CBT is for you if:

  • You want to understand the thoughts and behaviours that are keeping you stuck—and learn how to change them.

  • You’ve had enough of just talking about your problems and you're ready to start actively working through them.

  • You’re ready to take action, make meaningful changes, and move forward.

  • You want practical tools and strategies to manage anxiety, low mood, stress, or overwhelm.

How is CBT different from other types of therapy?

CBT is a more collaborative and active type of therapy. Each session consists of talking as well as doing. It involves learning new ways of dealing with your difficulties through experimenting together in the session and then setting tasks to practice throughout the week. We always practice tools together first, so you feel confident to then carry them out independently.

It differs from more traditional forms of therapy, where you might talk about different topics each week. Instead we agree together at the beginning of the therapy what are the areas that you would like to work on and what are the things that you would like to achieve. Using your goals from therapy, helps us stay focused on what we are working on and achieve actual results.

How much does it cost?

Each session costs £70 and it lasts about 50mins. The price is the same for CBT therapy and for coaching. Payment is taken before each session.
