About Me

Hi, I’m Alex.

I am a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, registered with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).

I hold extensive experience in mental health, having worked in various settings, including psychiatric residential units for adults, supporting children and young adults with mental health difficulties and autism, as well as working for a homelessness charity in London.

I am a qualified CBT Therapist in London, completing my education with the University of Reading and King's College London and working for the NHS Berkshire and Lambeth Talking Therapies, including a specialised placement in treating anxiety disorders and trauma with CADAT (Centre of Anxiety Disorders and Trauma) at Maudsley Hospital. I offer CBT Therapy online across London and the UK.

I help people by teaching them practical ways to overcome:

  • anxiety

  • depression

  • social anxiety

  • health anxiety

  • emetophobia

  • OCD

  • low motivation

  • panic attacks

  • low self-esteem and more

I know what it feels like when your own thoughts feel relentless and you seem unable to stop your own mind;

  • The endless ‘what if’ worries that keep you awake at night.

  • Replaying every single word after a social interaction and cringing at yourself.

  • Feeling like you have to check, count, or repeat something or else something bad might happen.

  • The crushing lack of motivation, where even brushing your teeth or washing your hair feels impossible.

I’m a CBT therapist, which means we’ll work together to:

  • Spot unhelpful thought patterns that may fuel anxiety/ depression/ OCD/ social anxiety/ health anxiety/ panic, and more.

  • Practice new ways of handling situations that you can then continue using on your own, outside the therapy session.

  • Review goals from therapy regularly and work towards all the things that you want to achieve.

I keep therapy collaborative, practical and down to earth. I listen to what you want to improve or change, and help you get there.

During the treatment, I will clearly explain the purpose of each tool we will be using, so you feel confident and equipped to use these independently after the end of the treatment.
